Very central, the Continental aims mainly at business people, and feels dark and musty in comparison with most of the newer, smaller places further out of town. Like the Thüringer Hof, the Continental is uninspiring. En-suite rooms are clean and functional, with TV and phone. In an attempt to cater for all tastes, there is a café at the rear of the hotel, next to the Esplanada Restaurant, and a bar area with a pool table and slot machines, Next door is a separate nightclub, the Diplomat. There is also secure parking.
