This small, quiet pension, built on several levels, is a convenient short walk from the centre, squeezed into a cul-de-sac off Trift Street, between Sam Nujoma Drive and Peter Müller (Fidel Castro) St. Its recently renovated rooms have tiled floors, Mnet and German TV channels, phones, minibar/fridges, ceiling fans, and radios, as well as en-suite toilets and either baths or showers.

Behind the building is a thatched bar overlooking a deep swimming pool, around which tables for light lunches are set. In winter months, the open fire in the lounge bar is particularly welcome.

Steiner is particularly popular with German and French visitors, and its atmosphere is one of helpful efficiency.
