The angular design of this quiet lodge just 15 minutes' walk from Windhoek centre, or 5 minutes from Maerua Park, reflects its no-frills attitude. To get here, follow Independence Avenue to Ausspannplatz, then turn left into Lazarett St, right into Feld St, and left into Ballot St. The lodge is on the right.

Run by Alec and Ronell Williams, it is particularly popular with business people and families. En-suite double and family rooms are located on two storeys. Their simple pine furniture is offset by tiled floors; each room has a free-standing fan, TV and tea/coffee-making facilities, while family rooms are self-catering, with fridge, two-plate stove, sink and table and chairs. No food is available. Outside is secure parking.
