This simple, modern new pension (opened in 2001) is near Avis Dam. Signposted to the left off the B6 airport road, shortly after leaving Windhoek, it is built on several levels. Each of the quiet twin and double rooms has en-suite shower, TV with Dstv, phone, minibar/fridge and tea/coffee-making facilities. Screened doors and windows mean that guests can take advantage of the breeze afforded by Onganga's hillside position. Owner Steffi has decorated the place in a cheerful yellow and white, with cane furniture in the breakfast room, and an open fire for those chilly winter evenings.

Outside, the small pool facing the mountains is surrounded by a grassy area set with umbrellas, overlooked by a rustic bar with a barbecue, while behind the pension is a 20-minute walking trail. There's also a small craft shop with postcards. Light meals are available on request. Airport collection is N$180 for up to four people, while trips to Windhoek cost N$30.
